Authorities in Lehigh Acres, Florida, said a fleeing suspect was chased down and apprehended by a deputy driving a borrowed golf cart. Deputy Richard Williamson responded to a report of domestic battery Tuesday and the suspect, Jeremiah Ellarius Haynes, fled on foot. Williamson chased the suspect to a nearby gated community, where a resident at the gate loaned the deputy a golf cart. Williamson caught up to Haynes and used his Taser to stun the man when he attempted to flee again. Haynes, who had led the deputy on a 1.8 mile chase, was taken to jail on charges of battery and resisting an officer without violence.
