An Indian woman who stands just over 2 feet tall has been named world's shortest living woman by the Guinness Book Of World Records. Jyoti Amge, who is 24.7 inches tall, accepted the title Friday while celebrating her 18th birthday in her hometown of Nagpur. Amge has a form of dwarfism known as achondroplasia and is not expected to grow further.
A Florida woman says she was at a movie with a friend when he excused himself to go get something from her car, only to drive off in it. Pasco County deputies said 27-year-old Michael Pratt is facing charges of grand theft. Pratt allegedly told the woman in the theater he needed to get something out of the car, so she gave him the keys. He never returned. The woman finally got in contact with Pratt four days later. The woman said Pratt laughed and told her he dumped her car. After deputies found the car, they arrested Pratt Wednesday, charging him with grand theft auto.
