Police say a 37-year-old drunk man stole an ambulance from a Chicago hospital before crashing it and needing assistance from another ambulance. Paramedics were putting an unoccupied stretcher into an empty ambulance at Norwegian-American Hospital when the man got in and took off. He crashed the ambulance a mile-and-a-half away, hitting several vehicles along the way. The man suffered minor injuries and was transported back to Norwegian-American Hospital in another ambulance. Charges are pending.
The Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort plans to give $25,000 worth of plastic surgery to a winner from a player's card contest. The lucky winner can mix and match surgeries including breast enhancements, tummy tucks, liposuction and face lifts, up to $25,000. Some medical professionals worry the promotion could set a bad precedent by pairing two potentially compulsive behaviors - gambling and excessive plastic surgery.
