Aaron Merkey was initially suspended for 10 days before Liberty High's principal suspended him for the rest of the year. He is now suing various school officials for $200,000.
A 20 year-old Charles County, Maryland man recently called 911 to report he had been robbed of his watch and money. He told a dispatcher that a man put a gun to his head and that he needed the police to investigate. When officers arrived, they discovered the man did not have any minutes left on his phone and called 911 because it is free and because he needed a ride home. The 'victim' admitted he made up the robbery because he was tired of walking home. The free ride may cost him up to six months in jail.
