Volusia County, Florida middle school teacher Teresa Volkman was recently suspended for allowing a student to lead another student around the classroom like a dog. She says she punished the child because he was kicking others as she was grading papers. On a professional standards report Volkman wrote, "I guess I have been watching too much 'Dog Whisperer' on TV."
The New Castle, Indiana police recently arrested Curtis Cross for biting off another man's ear. He was speeding when he passed cycler Jeffrey H. Guffey who yelled at him to slow down because there were kids in the area. Cross pulled over and knocked Guffey to ground before biting his ear off.
