A Wisconsin jeweler is giving away 100 pearl necklaces for Mother's Day. Eric's Diamonds and Fine Jewelry will distribute the $40 necklaces to Chippewa Valley residents who were laid off this year.
The Ft Lauderdale police recently arrested two brothers for stealing a Ford pickup truck. Kendrick and Marquise Pitts tried to avoid the police by ducking into an office building. Cops followed them in to a women's bathroom where they used falsetto voices to make them think they were women. It didn't work as the Pitts brothers were charged with resisting arrest and grand theft auto.
The parents of an 11 year-old Swedish boy have hired a bodyguard to accompany him to school. They say the guard will protect him against being bullied. "We are desperate, the boy is in a sensitive age. He is 11-years-old and he should be able to go to school without being scared. As long as he is there, then the boy won't be subjected to violence."
